McCartney finished fifth nationally in the 400-hurdles. The Garland, Texas, native turned in a time of 51.96 – one second out of medaling in the event. The effort marked a career-best and surpassed his previous time of 52.25 set at the Al Schmidt Bulldog Relays earlier this season.

The Garland, Texas, native joined teammates Grames, Wilson and Palmieri as members of the 4x4 relay. The quartet turned in a time of 3:11.77, a best for the unit this season, to claim eighth at nationals. The foursome posted a time of 3:13.79 on Friday to claim its heat and finish second during the prelims.

Triple jumper, Tytavia Hardy, finished 11th in the nation on Friday, May 28 to conclude the Lady Choctaws' athletic season. The Pensacola, Fla., product posted a leap of 40' 3.25".
