LOUISVILLE, Ky. --- The Mississippi College women's cross country team turned in a 35th-place finish at the 20th Annual Live in the Lou Classic on Saturday, Oct. 2.

Jazmin Hernandez was the top finisher on the women's side for the Choctaws as she turned in a time of 18:05.5. The Georgetown, Texas, native finished 96th in the Division I-led, 5K race.
Josie Whipp finished second for the Navy and Gold with a time of 18:17.5 in 120th.

Madeline Campbell clocked a time of 18:43.6 (184th) while Bre Bell posted a time of 19:25.4 (286th).
Emily Berry recorded a time of 19:52.6 (328th).
Norma Gutierrez notched a time of 19:58.5 (335th) with
Ava Dickerson adding a time of 20:07.3 (343rd).

The University of Michigan took the top team honor with three runners in the top five and four in the top 10. The University of Wisconsin finished second while West Virginia University came in third.

WVU's Ceili McCabe was the top individual finisher with a time of 16:27.8. Michigan's Kayla Windemuller clocked a 16:41.3 while the University of Miami (OH)'s Carmen Riano was third with a time of 16:42.3.

Mississippi College returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 9 as it hosts the Watson Collegiate Open.
