Tytavia Hardy - GSC Women's Field Performer of the Week

CLINTON, Miss. --- Mississippi College's Tytavia Hardy is the Gulf South Conference Women's Field Performer of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday, April 14, for her efforts at the Lee University-hosted Flames Invitational over the weekend.

The Pensacola, Fla., native posted a pair of second-place finishes in the long jump and the triple jump and added a fourth-place finish in the high jump. Her distance of 5.60 meters in the long jump and 1.65 meters in the high jump are tops in the GSC while her leap of 12.07 meters in the triple jump sits behind her mark of 12.13 meters set at the Al Schmidt Bulldog Relays earlier this season, which is 17th nationally. Her high jump mark, set this weekend, ranks 27th.

Hardy is a 10-time recipient of the conference's women's field performer of the week honor and recognized 12 times total as she grabbed freshman of the week laurels twice during her debut season.

Mississippi College returns to action on Saturday, April 17 as it travels inside the Jackson-metro area to take part in the Belhaven University Invitational. Meet time is 8 a.m.
