CLINTON, Miss. --- Mississippi College's
Tytavia Hardy was named Gulf South Conference Women's Field Performer of the Year, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday, May 18.

Hardy medaled in all four of her events at the GSC Outdoor Championships, including a conference title in the triple jump and a pair of silver-medal finishes in the high jump and long jump en route to setting NCAA Provisional marks in the two events. The performance earned her Most Outstanding Field Performer at the championships. She added a third-place finish in the 100 hurdles at the conference championship and holds the third fastest time in the conference in the event.

The Pensacola, Fla., native ranks 12th nationally in the triple jump with a distance of 12.46m (40'10.5") set this past weekend at the Lee University Last Chance Qualifier, which is tops in the GSC. She holds the top mark in the conference in the high jump, which is 34th nationally (1.68m). She ranks second in the conference in the long jump (5.81m), which is 44th in the nation.
