Tytavia Hardy finished 11th at the NCAA Outdoor National Championships in the triple jump on Friday, May 28 at Grand Valley State University.

Hardy posted a distance of 40' 3.25 in her second attempt of the day. The mark was her third-best mark of the season. Her season-best on the campaign was 40'10.5" set at the Lee University Last Chance Qualifier on May 15. The Pensacola, Fla., native followed with her leap of 39' 0.25" in her third try at nationals.

Hardy finished third at the indoor nationals earlier this season.

The men's 4x400 relay team finished second in preliminaries and qualified for the finals on Saturday, May 29. The quartet of
Fabio Palmieri,
Rakeem Wilson,
Will Grames and
Daviciea McCartney won their heat on the day with a time of 3:13.79. The time was second to Northwest Missouri State University which won the second heat of the prelims with a time of 3:12.67.

McCartney, a Garland, Texas product, also advanced in the men's 400 hurdles with a time of 52.51, which was fifth in the first heat on Thursday, May 27 and sixth overall.

The 4x400 relay competes at 3 p.m. on Saturday with McCartney's opportunity at the 400-hurdles title is set for 4 p.m.
