MONTGOMERY, Ala. --- In a highly anticipated Gulf South Conference matchup on Thursday night, Mississippi College won in convincing fashion, defeating AUM by a final of 88-68.
It was a tail of two halves as AUM took a 13 point lead, 21-8, with 11:24 in thee first half before MC went on a 26-10 run over the next 11 minutes to take a 34-31 lead in the break.
The final 20 minutes went in the direction of the Choctaws as they outscored the Warhawks 54-37, going on to win the contest 88-68 to pick up their 10th GSC win of the season.
Rashad Bolden continued his scoring streak, contributing 30 points for the second consecutive game. Bolden was 11-of-18 shooting with six assists while going 7-of-8 from the free throw line.
Cam Brown complemented Bolden's performance with 25 points on 7-of-12 shooting in 38:25 minutes on the court. He finished a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line.
Daquarius Harris had a notable double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds, adding a significant impact on both ends of the court.
MC shot a 56.1% field goal percentage, a 46.2% three-point percentage, and an 81.8% free-throw percentage. Defensively, they secured 34 rebounds, 11 assists, 8 steals, and 2 blocks while forcing 15 turnovers.
Mississippi College remains on the road where they take on Montevallo on Saturday at 4 p.m. in Montevallo, Ala. MC remains in 5th place in the current GSC standings after Thursday night's win.
