Baseball Schedule Change

CLINTON, Miss. --- Due to the threat of inclement weather, the Mississippi College baseball game at the University of Arkansas at Monticello has been moved. The two teams will square off on Wednesday, March 6 at 2 p.m.

The midweek meet up marks the first of two meetings between the two bordering state programs and the 39th in the all-time series. UAM, which holds a 20-18 advantage in the series, is on the ledger for a return trip to Clinton, Miss., on Tuesday, Apr. 23.

After an open weekend, the Choctaws look to rebound from setback earlier last week to then 20th-ranked Southern Arkansas University. Wednesday's affair opens the week for the Blue and Gold as it prepares to host the University of West Florida in a Gulf South Conference weekend series, starting on Friday, March 8. The Boll Weevils enter the game having dropped its Great American Conference series to Ouachita Baptist University. The Green and White won the opening game of the weekend, but dropped the Saturday twinbill to move to 9-7 on the season and 7-2 in the GAC.

Mississippi College's series opener against UWF is slated for 5 p.m. against West Florida at Frierson Field at Dickins-Scoper Stadium.
