CLINTON, Miss. --- The College Sports Communicators released its 2024 baseball academic all-district team on Tuesday, June 4 and Mississippi College placed three on this year's list with
Luis Alcantara,
Beau Kirsch and
Cooper Gadman representing the Blue and Gold.

The Choctaw trio are part of 18 student-athletes from the Gulf South Conference to make the list and 21 student-athletes, ranging across the three levels of the NCAA in the Magnolia State.

Alcantara, Kirsch and Gadman join former Choctaws,
Kolby McWilliams (2023), Grant Barber (2020) and Blaine Crim (2018, 2019) to have earned the scholastic recognition since the University's return to Division II.

Nominees must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 and have competed in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games/contests. For baseball and softball pitchers, it is 17 appearances or 25 innings pitched.

The 2024 Academic All-District® Baseball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
