MC’s Benichou Blanchard Ranked No. 3 Nationally in ITA Singles

CLINTON, Miss. — Mississippi College's Alex Benichou Blanchard has earned a No. 3 national ranking in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division II Men's Singles Rankings, released this week.

Blanchard, who has compiled a 17-8 singles record this season, continues to lead the Choctaws from the top of the lineup with a rating of 46.81. The sophomore becomes one of the highest-ranked singles players in program history and among the elite names across Division II.

Last season, Blanchard became the first player in Gulf South Conference history to be named both GSC Player of the Year and GSC Freshman of the Year in the same season.

Blanchard's success has helped propel Mississippi College to a 13-7 overall record, including key GSC victories as the postseason approaches.

The Choctaws return to action Saturday, April 12, hosting Lee University for Senior Day at the MC Tennis Complex. First serve is scheduled for 10 a.m. CT.
