CLINTON, Miss. --- Mississippi College baseball returned to the win column with a decisive 12-1 victory over Ouachita Baptist in seven innings on Tuesday, March 10. The Choctaws (14-10) tallied 13 hits, including two home runs, while holding the Tigers (10-10) to just four hits.

Cade Gadman recorded a season-high four hits and scored a season-high four runs, marking the second four-hit effort this by a Choctaw and Gadman's ninth multiple-hit performance of the season.
JT Thigpen collected three hits, including two doubles, and drove in three runs while
Alex Johnson drove in three runs and tallied a pair of hits.
Will Langston hit a home run, accounting for two RBI alongside
Nick Slonaker, who also added a solo home run, finishing with two runs scored.

Blake Gollott (1-0) registered his first win of the season, pitching a season-high six innings and allowing just one earned run on three hits while striking out two batters.
Connor Pittman followed with a solid relief appearance, pitching an inning and striking out one batter, allowing just one hit in his outing.

MC used a big middle-inning surge to pull away for the run-rule victory over the Tigers, marking the second time in the series history. The Choctaws broke through in the third inning when Gadman singled and scored on a double by Thigpen, while sacrifice flies from Tyrus Williams and
Jake LaRocca extended the lead to 3-0.

MC added to the advantage in the fourth on a two-run single from
Alex Johnson, recently named the Gulf South Conference Player of the Week, before breaking the game open in the fifth. Slonaker scored after reaching on an error, Gadman added an RBI single and Langston launched a two-run home run to make it 8-0. Ouachita pushed across a run in the sixth, but the Choctaws answered with a solo homer from Slonaker and a two-RBI single by Thigpen to cap the scoring.

Kyndall Cassidy (0-1) was charged with the loss on the mound as seven Tiger hurlers saw action. Cassidy allowed two runs on four hits along with two walks and a pair of strikeouts. Jaren Ceasar led the Purple and Gold at the plate with two hits.
