CLINTON, Miss. --- Mississippi College baseball split a doubleheader with Lee University on Saturday, March 14, securing an 11–5 victory in the first game before falling 11-7 in the nightcap.

A trio of Choctaws registered multiple hits, with

Alex Johnson matched Thigpen with a pair of hits, and both have now recorded at least two hits in three straight games.

Nick Slonaker, and
Creek Robertson each drove in two runs.
On the mound,
Coby Gollott (4-1) picked up his fourth win of the season, going six innings, striking out seven, and allowing five runs on 10 hits.

MC used a four-run first inning and maintained steady offense to earn their third GSC-series victory this season. They capitalized on an early error, with RBI hits from Langston and Slonaker helping stake the Choctaws to a 4–0 lead after one inning. Lee chipped away with runs in the third and fourth, but MC responded with a four-run fifth inning, highlighted by two-run singles from Robertson and Gadman. Thigpen added a solo home run in the seventh to seal the win.
In the second game, the Choctaws suffered their first home loss since Feb. 24, 2026, snapping a seven-game home win streak. Gadman tallied three hits and drove in two runs, marking his second consecutive game with two or more RBI.
Will Langston contributed a home run and scored twice, extending his streak to four consecutive games with at least two runs. Slonaker added two hits, including a double, and drove in two runs, also marking his second straight game with at least two RBI.
The Choctaws built a 3-0 lead through three innings with an RBI single by Johnson, a run-scoring hit from
Tyler Sanderson, and a bases-loaded walk drawn by Slonaker. They extended the margin to 4–0 in the fourth when Langston launched a solo home run. However, Lee rallied in the fifth inning, scoring eight unearned runs due to MC's miscues, including a three-run homer from Cody Turner that gave the Flames the lead. The Choctaws fought back with three runs in the bottom half, highlighted by a two-RBI single from Gadman, but still trailed by a run.
Lee added insurance in the seventh on Nate Caraballo's three-run homer and managed to hold off MC the rest of the way.

Dylan Cope and
Will Daniel combined for the final 2.1 frames in relief.
