Choctaws Open GSC Tournament Play Against West Florida

CLINTON, Miss. --- Mississippi College baseball make its 11th Gulf South Conference Tournament appearance on Saturday, May 2 as it takes on West Florida in Oxford, Ala., at Choccolocco Park. First pitch is 11 a.m.
 
This marks MC's fourth berth since returning to Division II and its second instance of back-to-back appearances in the current era, last achieved in 2018 when the Choctaws captured the tournament title at Delta State, as MC now joins a six-team field set to compete in a double-elimination tournament May 2-5.
 
This is the second postseason meeting with UWF. The two teams squared off during the 2017 tournament in Cleveland, Miss., with the Argos claiming a 9-6 victory. MC has found more recent success, splitting the last 10 meetings since 2023, including winning the series in Clinton earlier this season, taking the first two contests before falling in the finale.
 
Fans attending the tournament, general admission tickets will be $10 per day, children 5 and under are free. Tickets are available online and at the gate. Parking will be $5 per day (cash only).
 
For those unable to attend, the GSC Tournament will be streamed on FloCollege or through the FloSports app available for iOS and Android, and your smart TVs. Fans who subscribe using a .edu email from GSC school will receive discounted pricing options.
