CLINTON, Miss. --- Will Langston earned Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Week laurels, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday, April 7.

Langston made a significant impact both at the plate and behind the dish in four games, batting .364 with a .611 on-base percentage. He recorded four hits, including two doubles, while drawing four walks and being hit by three pitches to consistently get on base. His best performance came in a three-hit outing against Christian Brothers, where he showcased his ability to handle pitching and drive the ball. Defensively, the catcher was outstanding, compiling 19 putouts with no errors.

This marks the second conference weekly award for the Vestavia Hills, Ala., native and the fourth weekly honor for the program this season.
