Tytavia Hardy have been named Mississippi College Renasant Bank Athletes of the Week, it was announced on Monday (Jan. 21).

Del Rio (Huntsville, Texas) posted a school record time of 8:47.16 in the men's 3,000 meters at the Samford January Open on Saturday, Jan. 19 in Birmingham, Ala. The performance surpassed the previous record of 8:48.80 held by teammate
Jordan Pritchard last season.
Mississippi College returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Sewanee Tiger Indoor Invitational in Sewanee, Tenn.

Hardy (Pensacola, Fla.) posted a season-record distance of 18' 1.75" in the women's long jump on Saturday, Jan. 19 at the Samford January Open in Birmingham, Ala. The leap surpassed her previous best of 16' 8.75" at the Birmingham Southern Icebreaker Invitational on Nov. 30, 2017 at the Birmingham Crossplex. Hardy also competed in the 60 meter hurdles and the high jump at the Open.
Mississippi College returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Sewanee Tiger Indoor Invitational at Sewanee (Tenn.) University.
