Langley, Poulin Honored by Gulf South Conference

CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College outdoor track and field teams added to their list of Gulf South Conference Weekly Awards as Emma Langley was named the conference women's track athlete of the week while Gabe Poulin was awarded the same accolade on the men's side, as announced by the conference on Wednesday, March 24.
 
Langley set two school and Montevallo Falcon Classic records over the weekend. She won the 800 meters with a school and meet record time of 2:13.25 and finished third in the 1,500 meters with a school and meet record 4:41.36. She anchored the 4x400 relay team that finished second and clocked-in a time of 4:05.22.
 
Poulin set a school and Montevallo Falcon Classic record in the 10,000 meters with a time of 30:33.17. The previous meet record was a time of 31:48.85. His record-setting time is tops in Division II and lands him on the NCAA Provisional list.
 
Mississippi College returns to action on Friday, March 26 as it travels to Mississippi State, Miss., for the Al Schmidt Bulldog Relays. The two-day event ends on Saturday, March 27.
