CLINTON, Miss. --- Mississippi College Athletics turned in a strong showing in the Gulf South Conference Winter Academic Awards, placing eight student-athletes on the GSC All-Academic Team and 82 on the league's Academic Honor Roll.
The Choctaws were well represented across multiple sports on the All-Academic Team, including women's basketball standout
Nia Coleman and a trio from men's indoor track and field in Sam Hodson,
Evan Wrights and
Matias Vasquez, along with four honorees from women's indoor track and field.
Mississippi College's 82 selections to the GSC Academic Honor Roll highlighted the program's depth in the classroom, with numerous student-athletes posting GPAs of 3.0 or higher and several recording perfect 4.0 marks.
The conference recognition highlights MC's continued emphasis in the classroom alongside athletic achievement.
