Athletics Names Hitting Facility After Former Skipper

CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College Department of Athletics recognized former baseball skipper, Bill "Moose" Perry prior to the opening game of the Choctaws' Gulf South Conference doubleheader on Saturday, April 30. Family, friends and former players gathered on Saturday to visit, reminiscence and pay homage to Coach Perry.

"I am so excited about today," said MC Director of Athletics Kenny Bizot. "We had several former players back on campus today to honor a great man. I am so happy we were able to name the hitting facility after Coach Perry. We are grateful for the impact he made on so many to wear the Navy and Gold and around the community."

Perry, who spent a career coaching around the Magnolia State in the high school and collegiate ranks, spent the latter half of the 1970s at the helm of the Choctaws. Following his time at MC, he moved back to the prep ranks and later served the Jackson-metro community in the ministry field, including founding "The Lamb of God" mission among working in others.
