Lydia Paulette were among 10 DII players from across the country selected to represent USA roster.

The duo helped the 2021 edition of the Choctaws advance to the Gulf South Conference Championship Semifinals for the first time in program history in Pensacola, Fla.

The program's career leader in kills and points, Platt, led the Choctaws in kills and service aces during the 2021 campaign and finished second in digs as an outside hitter. She has led the team in kills in three of her four seasons. The Anaheim, Calif., native finished fifth in assists and blocks during her junior season. She is a four-time GSC Academic Honor Roll selection.

During her debut season in Clinton, Paulette finished third on the team in kills and was fourth in blocks. The Tuscaloosa, Ala., product was selected as a member of the GSC All-Tournament Team. She is a member of the 2021 GSC Academic Honor Roll.

"This is an outstanding group of young women," said Ron Smith of USA Sports Tours & Events. "Many of the players on this year's USA D-2 / Brazil Tour team had great individual seasons and led their teams into postseason play. This tour is designed to expose players to a great volleyball experience while providing a once in a lifetime opportunity for educational, cultural and social growth."

The USA DII Volleyball Teams are invited NCAA Division II women's players from across the country. This team is comprised of players recognized as all-Americans, all-region and all-conference. The squad comprises of 10 players representing six different colleges and universities and come from eight different states.

The USA DII Volleyball Tour runs through May 24. The team begins with orientation in Orlando, Fla., before departing for Sao Paulo, Brazil. The team will have three play dates against professional and club teams. In Rio, the teams will be part of an "International Challenge" on Saturday, May 21.

During its time in Rio, the team will work with a youth clinic at the Marina Barra Clube / Ripper Volei. While in Brazil, the team will experience educational, cultural and social aspects of Brazilian life through city, school and sports club visits. While in Rio, the team will be staying on the famous Copacabana Beach and touring the Christ the Redeemer Statue and Sugar Loaf Mountain, two of the most recognizable landmarks in the world. The team will visit the popular international market in Ipanema and Ipanema Beach.
