CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College baseball series against the University of Alabama in Huntsville has been altered for this weekend. Due to a weather threat, the two programs have shifted the start of the Gulf South Conference, opening series.

MC and UAH open the three-game slate on Friday, Feb. 16 with a doubleheader with a 1 p.m. start. The two programs are set to conclude the series on Saturday, Feb. 17 with a single game, also marked for a 1 p.m. first pitch.
The Choctaws enter the weekend slate riding a three-game win streak after it swept Miles College last weekend in Clinton, resulting in
JT Vance and
Holland Townes earning weekly honors. It was the first regular-season sweep for the program since 2021 when the program took all three from Auburn University at Montgomery Apr. 17-18 in Clinton.

UAH also comes into the weekend riding a high as the Blue and White topped Miles on Wednesday, 6-4, in Huntsville. The victory ran the Chargers' win streak to four consecutive as they swept McKendree University last weekend.

Following the weekend slate, the Choctaws host William Carey University in a midweek outing on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 2 p.m.
