BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Mississippi College will be well-represented at the Gulf South Conference Media Day, scheduled for Thursday, July 25 at 8 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham - The Wynfrey Hotel. Senior Defensive Back Braxton Hall and Head Coach Mike Kershaw are set to attend, bringing with them a new Choctaw football era as they gear up for the upcoming season.
Braxton Hall, a standout player from Hoover, Ala, has proven himself as a key player for the Choctaws during his career in Clinton. Hall's 2023 season was stellar as he appeared in all 10 games, amassing 28 total tackles, with 19 solo tackles and 9 assists. He also registered 2.0 tackles for loss, including a six-tackle performance against Keiser and a five-tackle game against North Greenville, both of which highlighted his ability to make crucial plays.
Head Coach Mike Kershaw, who takes over at the helm of Mississippi College's football program, will join Hall at the media day. Kershaw's leadership has been instrumental in developing the team's competitive edge heading into the Gulf South Conference in 2024. Under his guidance, the Choctaws are preparing to make a significant impact in the upcoming season.
