CLINTON, Miss. --- Mississippi College baseball launched four home runs as it walked away with a 6-1 victory over Arkansas Tech on Tuesday, March 31 at Frierson Field.

The Choctaws (21-14) continued their offensive surge, finishing with 11 hits and at least six runs for the fourth consecutive game.
Creek Robertson led the way with a home run and double, extending his multiple-hit streak to five games, while also driving in three runs.

MCwasted little time taking control. Thigpen opened the scoring with a solo homer in the first inning, and the Choctaws broke the game open in the second as LaRocca connected for a solo shot before Robertson followed with a two-run homer to stretch the lead to 4-0. Robertson added an RBI double in the fourth to make it 5-0, and Murphy's solo home run in the fifth capped the scoring for MC. It marked the second time this season the squad has connected on four homers in a game, tying the feat against Lee on March 13.

Arkansas Tech (20-16) managed its only run in the sixth inning on an RBI single from David Ossanna, but the Wonder Boys were unable to generate further momentum against a steady Choctaw pitching staff.

Eight Choctaw hurlers combined to limit ATU to one run on six hits.
Carter Wells (1-0) earned the win with a dominant outing in relief, tossing a season-high three innings while allowing just one hit and striking out four.
Tyler Swann was charged with the lone run, and
Brady Ray retired all three batters he faced.
Peyton Charles worked two scoreless innings, highlighted by a pair of strikeouts and a pickoff.

With the win, MC also secured its first victory over Arkansas Tech in Clinton since 2022 and improved its strong play at Frierson Field, improving to 8-1 at home in March.

The Choctaws return to action on Thursday, April 2 as it travels to the Bluff City to face Christian Brothers in a three-game, Gulf South Conference series. First pitch of the series-opening contest is 2 p.m.
