CLINTON, Miss. – Mississippi College track & field will be represented on the national stage as three Choctaws have qualified for the 2026 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships, set for March 13–14 in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Senior Lauren Wallace, senior Gabe Hodson, and freshman Schyler Chambers each concluded the indoor regular season ranked among the top 18 athletes in NCAA Division II, earning selections to compete at the national championship meet.

Wallace enters the championships ranked fifth overall in the women's mile after running a school-record 4:43.85 earlier this season. Her mark not only reset the Mississippi College program record but firmly established her among the nation's elite heading into Virginia Beach.

Hodson qualified 18th nationally in the men's 800 meters with his school-record time of 1:49.86, a performance that also set a Gulf South Conference Indoor Championship record earlier this month.

Chambers, in his freshman campaign, secured a national berth in the men's triple jump, ranking 17th in Division II with his school-record leap of 15.14 meters (49 feet, 8 inches).

The trio now enters final preparations before traveling to Virginia Beach, where they will represent Mississippi College against the nation's top Division II competition.

Championship Schedule

Wallace will open competition for the Choctaws in the first round of the women's mile on Friday, March 13 at 4:05 p.m. (Eastern).

Hodson is set to compete later that afternoon in the first round of the men's 800 meters at 5:05 p.m. (Eastern).

On Saturday, March 14, Chambers will begin the day's field events in the men's triple jump, scheduled for 12:00 p.m. (Eastern).
