CLINTON, Miss. — Mississippi College captured four Gulf South Conference yearly awards and totaled 22 All-GSC honors following the 2026 outdoor track and field season, the conference office announced Tuesday.
The Choctaws swept three of the four men's yearly honors, while the Lady Choctaws added one women's award.
On the men's side, Gabe Hodson was named GSC Track Athlete of the Year, Jake McMillan earned Field Athlete of the Year and Tristan Jusino-Lansing was selected as Freshman Athlete of the Year.
On the women's side, Rebekah Zweerink was voted GSC Field Athlete of the Year.
Hodson became the third consecutive Choctaw to earn Track Athlete of the Year honors after winning the 800 meters at the GSC Championships in a meet-record time of 1:49.37 and helping Mississippi College capture the conference title in the 4x400-meter relay.
McMillan was named Field Athlete of the Year after winning the decathlon at the conference championships with a school and meet-record 6,974 points. He also finished as runner-up in the 110-meter hurdles.
Jusino-Lansing claimed Freshman Athlete of the Year honors after winning the 110-meter hurdles and running on the championship 4x400-meter relay team. He also placed second in the 4x100-meter relay and third in the 400-meter hurdles.
Zweerink earned the first women's field athlete honor for Mississippi College since 2023. She placed second in the discus with a school-record throw of 44.87 meters and also scored in both the shot put and hammer throw.

Mississippi College earned 12 men's All-GSC honors, including seven first-team selections and five second-team honors.
