CLINTON, Miss. — After 18 seasons leading Mississippi College softball, Brooke O'Hair has announced her departure to become the head coach at North Georgia. O'Hair leaves behind a remarkable legacy, having guided the Lady Choctaws to consecutive 40-win seasons and back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances, cementing the program's place in the national spotlight.

Under O'Hair's leadership, the Lady Choctaws reached new heights, including hosting and winning their first-ever NCAA South II Regional this season. MC also captured the Gulf South Conference (GSC) regular-season title and achieved its highest national ranking in program history, marking the team's rise as a consistent force in Division II softball. O'Hair, who notched her 500th career win this season, finished her Mississippi College career with a record 531 victories.

"Mississippi College is deeply grateful for the incredible leadership and dedication Brooke O'Hair has shown," said Athletic Director Kenny Bizot. "While we will miss her tremendously, the foundation she built here ensures that Mississippi College softball will continue to compete for championships on the national stage."

O'Hair reflected on her time at MC with heartfelt appreciation: "For the last 18 years, I've poured my heart into the student-athletes and the University. The memories and relationships built here will forever hold a special place in my heart. To everyone involved with MC softball, thank you!"

O'Hair leaves the program well-positioned for continued success as the Lady Choctaws remain in the national spotlight, ready to build on the foundation she helped establish.
