CLINTON, Miss. --- Sydney Moss earned Gulf South Conference Golfer of the Week Presented by Athletic Solutions, as announced by the conference office on Thursday, March 19.

Following her career-best tournament last week, Moss showed consistency across two rounds and led MC to a first-place team finish at the weather-altered, Centenary/Hal Sutton Invitational, posting a two-round total of 149 (+5). The Shreveport, La., native won the individual title, highlighted by a strong second-round 73 (+1) after opening with a 76 at the Golf Club at Stonebridge in Bossier City, La. The Choctaws finished with a tournament-best 614 team score and its first tournament victory since March 4, 2025.

She is the second GSC Golfer of the Week in program history, following
Ashlynd Madden, who accomplished the feat on March 6, 2025.

The redshirt junior has fueled the Blue and Gold through the first two tournaments of the spring season. She posted a career-best, 54-hole score of 213 the weekend prior against a loaded field at the Emerald Coast Collegiate in Destin, Fla. She fired back-to-back rounds of 70, a career-low across 18 holes and capped the tournament with a 73 to finish tied for fourth.

41st ranked MC returns to action on Monday, March 30 as it travels to Columbus, Ga., for the Lady Cougar Classic hosted by Columbus State.
