CLINTON, Miss. --- Mississippi College Athletics proudly announced its inaugural class of Chi Alpha Sigma inductees, recognizing a distinguished group of student-athletes who have excelled both in competition and in the classroom.
Chi Alpha Sigma, founded in 1996 by former DePauw head football coach Nick Mourouzis, is the nation's premier honor society for collegiate student-athletes. The organization celebrates individuals who demonstrate a commitment to academic achievement, athletic excellence, strong character, and leadership, while fostering lifelong connections among high-achieving athletes.
This year's Mississippi College honorees span multiple programs across the department, highlighting the Choctaws' continued emphasis on success beyond the field of play.
The purpose of Chi Alpha Sigma is to encourage and reward academic excellence among student-athletes, recognize outstanding achievement by varsity letter winners, and promote leadership, integrity, and service. Membership not only honors individual accomplishment but also reflects positively on teams, the athletic department, and the university as a whole.
Mississippi College's latest inductees exemplify the balance of academic dedication and athletic performance, continuing a proud tradition of excellence for the Choctaws both on and off the field.
