Baseball Adds Eight For 2020 Season

CLINTON, Miss. --- Mississippi College and head baseball coach Jeremy Haworth announce eight additions to the roster for the 2019-20 academic year. The reigning Gulf South Conference Champions welcome six community college transfers and two high school standouts to Clinton for next season.

"We are very excited about this signing class and the future of the program going forward," said Haworth. "We believe that this might be one of the best signing classes that we have had here at Mississippi College. (Assistant) Coach (Josh) Perez has done a fantastic job leading the recruiting efforts and I can't say enough of the job he has done this year bringing in such a talented group of ballplayers."

Haworth's comments on Jared: "Jared is a confident and very athletic baseball player that will be a two-way player for us.  He shows tremendous speed in the outfield with a plus arm and on the mound he is an uppers 80s and low 90s arm with a plus slider."

Haworth's comments on George: "George is a remarkable baseball player that shows all the intangibles that a corner infielder needs.  He not only hits for average, but shows a lot pop in his bat.  He is probably one of the best defensive third basemen if not the best in the Mississippi JUCO system."
Hunter Hughes
5-5 | 150 | LHP
Saltillo, Miss. | Itawamba CC
Bio: MACJC Second Team…went 6-0 in 19 appearances…logged 54.2 innings with 50 strikeouts for the Indians.
