Blaine Crim and sophomore
McKenzie Hargrove have been named Mississippi College Renasant Bank Athletes of the Week, it was announced on Monday (April 22).
Crim (Mobile, Ala.) posted a .533 batting average for the week as he went 8-for-15 with nine RBI and four extra base hits, including a double and two home runs. Crim matched a career-high with seven RBI in the series-opening win at West Alabama and collected his 18th and Gulf South Conference-leading double of the season.
The program's career doubles leader stands tied for fourth in single-season doubles. His 54 doubles this season leads the GSC and ranks seventh in a single-season.
Mississippi College returns to action on Saturday, April 27 as it hosts Delta State University.
McKenzie Hargrove set a program record in the women's 5,000 meters at the Louisiana State University Alumni Gold Invitational. Hargrove posted a time of 18:13.86 to finish sixth among all divisions in the event.

Madeline Campbell, who set the school record last year with a time of 18:18.00 at the Rhodes College 7-Way Meet.
Mississippi College returns to action on Saturday, April 27 as it travels to Hattiesburg, Miss., and the Southern Mississippi Open.
Mississippi College is a private Christian university located in Clinton, Mississippi with an enrollment of over 5,000 students. MC recently finished their transition process back to NCAA Division II and the Gulf South Conference and will be competing for conference and national championships in the 2016-17 academic year.
