VALDOSTA, Ga. --- JJ Logue capped off an incredible 2022 season on Saturday evening at the 2022 NCAA South/Southeast Regional in Valdosta, Ga. with a +11 overall score in a stacked leaderboard in individual play.
Logue took part in the three day, three round event, shooting a 227 score which placed him at tied for 87th overall on the individual leaderboard.
The senior from Belfast, Northern Ireland took to the course on Thursday, shooting an opening day score of 73, which placed Logue at 56th overall through the first day of competition.
Day two brought some challenges with the added element of strong winds and weather, as play was ultimately suspended after six holes for Logue and the rest of the field.
Round two would continue Saturday morning, as JJ finished the final holes of round two with an 18 hole score of 77. In round three on Saturday afternoon, Logue once again shot a +5 round of 77 as he capped off the final day with a +11 overall score for the Regional.
Logue wraps up the season after a stellar senior campaign for the Choctaws in 2022, racking in several accolades on the year. He became the first MC golfer in program history to make an NCAA Regional while also being tabbed to the Gulf South Conference second team.
He was tabbed to the All-Tournament team at at The Trojan in North Carolina back in the spring, after shooting rounds of 70-76-71, good for sixth overall on the individual leaderboard.
In early March, he posted a 76 in round one on the Buccaneer Classic, before adding a 69 in round two, and 71 in round three. Logue finished tied for fourth overall on the individual leaderboard at the event. Logue placed in the Top-20 in all Tournaments this spring, averaging a 73 in 11 rounds of golf.
