BIRMINGHAM, Ala. --- Mississippi College women's golfer,
Ida Lundh, earned Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Week following her performance at the GOLFWEEK Division II Fall Invitational in Sandestin, Fla.

This marks the second weekly award for the Gislaved, Sweden, native and the same for the four-year old program.

Lundh led the charge for the Blue and Gold on the course as she finished 13th among the field of 59. She opened the Invitational with a score of 76 and lowered her score by three strokes in round two. She capped her performance with a 72 on the final day to finish with a three-round score of 221 – one stroke back of the top 10 individuals.

Mississippi College finished the Invitational in 10th place among a field that included fellow Division II South Region and GSC members.

Mississippi College returns to action on Monday, Oct. 30 in Murfreesboro, Tenn., at the Trevecca Nazarene University-hosted, Music City Invitational.
