CLEVELAND, Miss. ---- Mississippi College competed in the Derrall Foreman Invitational hosted by Delta State over the week, finishing the event in second place overall with a score of 870.

The Choctaws finished two strokes behind first place winner Kentucky State who won the event with a three round score of 868. The Choctaws had scores of 286  in round one, 287 in round two, and 297 in round three to finish +18 over par. 

JJ Logue came out on top of the individual leaderboard after shooting a 54 hole score of 202 (-11). Logue captured his first individual championship in his MC career at the Derrall Foreman Invitational, placing 1st place after shooting scores of 68 in round one, 67 in round two, and 67 in round three.

In round one, Logue had six birdies including two birdies to finish off holes 9 and 18, both par 5's, to end round one at -3. He had four birdies in round two and six birdies in round three. On the par four 8th hole, Logue consistently birdied the hole, shooting a three in each of the three rounds at 8. 

 Bryson Jones finished +10 in three rounds with a 71 for round one (E), 75 in round two (+4), and a 77 (+6) in the final round of the week. Jones finished with three birdies in round one with six total for the week.

Jeff Lebeau shot scores of 77, 72, and 75 in all three rounds, finishing with a +11 on the week. Grant Mahaney tallied a -1, 70 in round one of the event with three birdies, before shooting a 73 in round two and an 84 in the final round to finished +14 for the week. Adam Murphree opened up with an 80 before improving in the second and third round with scores of 76 and 78.

The Choctaws return to the course on Monday, March 20 at Georgia College. MC will tee off at 8:00 a.m. in Milledgeville, Ga.
