ATHENS, Ala. --- Mississippi College wrapped up the 2023 Spring Bulldog Bash on Tuesday finishing the week with a top 5 finish at fifth overall on the leaderboard with a +8 over par at 872.
MC beat out the likes of Delta State, UT Southern and Spring Hill College while Shorter took the win with a -18 under par with an overall score of 846.
For the Choctaws,
Adam Murphree finished T14 overall after shooting a 215 over three rounds. Murphree finished with a 73 in round one before following up with a second round score of 74 and a team best 68 on Tuesday in round three.
JJ Logue shot back-to-back 73s in round one on Monday and round two on Tuesday, while shooting a week best 71 in the final round, to finish with a 217 and 20th overall individually.
Grant Mahaney T25 overall with rounds of 74, 71, and 75 to tally a 220 for the tournament. Jeff Lebeau improved in rounds two and three with scores of 71 and 74 after an opening round of 79 to finish T33.
Bryson Jones capped off the MC lineup with a 227 score for 54 holes at the Spring Bulldog Bash. Jones shot a 75 on Monday before following up with a 74 and 78 on Tuesday.
The Choctaws hit the course again on April 3-4 at Shorter in Rome, (Ga.) to wrap up the 2023 regular season before GSC Tournament play on April 16-18.
