TYLER, Texas --- Mississippi College tennis continues to flourish under first year head coach Michael Ward, this time completing a Saturday sweep of St. Mary's with the women knocking off the #14 ranked team in the country 4-3 while the men dominated 6-1.

Gabrielle Geolier won #2 doubles 6-3, over Angela Vargas/Bailey Godwin, while
Anna Valiaeva/
Maria Rodriguez won 6-4 at #3 doubles, as the Lady Choctaws took a 1-0 lead early.
MC won courts #3, #5, and #6 as
Fernanda Cota took the court with a 7-5, 5-7, 6-3 win.
Anna Valiaeva won 7-5, 6-0 taking the win at #5 as MC and #14 St. Mary's were tied at 3-3 before
Anna Hudson got the win at #6 in three sets.
On the men's side MC won the doubles match 1-0, with wins at #1 and #2, grabbing the 1-0 lead.

Rafael Sabio won 6-3 at #1 and Hsiang Yi Wang/
Alvaro Saint Martin topped off St. Mary's Ryan Koth/Oskar Irdoja at #2 with a 6-1 win.
MC dominated singles play, taking five of six courts.
Alvaro Saint Martin won 6-3, 7-6 at #1 singles, with
Rafael Sabio winning 6-3, 6-4 at court #2,
Joe Jarvis 7-6, 6-3 at #3 singles, 7-6, 3-6, 10-8 at #5 and
Brady McDaniel at #6 singles, 6-4, 4-6, 11-9 at #6 as the Choctaws won 6-1 on the day.
The men improve to 6-2 overall on the season while the women improve to 7-1 win the win over #14 St. Mary's. Both team return to action tomorrow after versus UT Tyler beginning at 1 p.m. in Tyler, Texas.
