BIRMINGHAM, Ala. --- Mississippi College's JT Vance earned All-Gulf South Conference laurels as the conference's all-conference teams were released on Thursday, May. Vance becomes the first Choctaw since Caleb Reese and Dakota Kennedy received the recognition in 2021.
 
It marks the first all-conference selection for the Union, Miss., native as he becomes the 55th All-GSC selection for the program and 18th under head coach Jeremy Haworth.
 
Vance led the Choctaw in seven offensive categories during his debut season. He also ranked among the top 20 in the conference in hit by pitch, hit by pitch per game, home runs, total bases, triples and triples per game. His nine home runs, which were third on the team and 13 HBPs, second on the team, help the Choctaw rank in the top 25 in the country in hit by pitch and in the top 40 nationally in home runs, which sits in the top three in the conference.
