JONESBORO, Ark. --- Tina Honnef posted a top 20 finish as the Mississippi College women's golf team finished 16th in the Division I laden field at the Lady Red Wolves Classic hosted by Arkansas State University at the Sage Meadows Golf Club.

The Choctaw were the lone non-Division I team in the field of 17.

Honnef opened the tournament with a 77 (+5) in the first round and matched her season-best in the second round with a 72 (E). She wrapped up the two-day tournament with a 74 (+2) in the final round on Tuesday, Oct. 15. Her 223 was tied for 18th place.

Ana Quintanilla Gutierrez placed 67th as she tallied her best round in the second with a 71 (-1). She sandwiched the one under round between an 84 in the opening round and a 79 to finish the tournament.
Ashlynd Madden finished four spots back of her sophomore teammate. The Spanish Fort, Ala., native posted back-to-back 81s in the first two rounds, but rallied in the final round on Tuesday with a 73 and moved up 19 spots in the individual standings. Fran Herrera Tallone (82-83-79) and
Sofia Mendez (81-80-83) rounded out the Choctaw scoring as they were tied for 91st with a three-round score of 244.

The University of Louisiana at Monroe took the team and individual titles. ULM compiled a score of 869 while Anna Andrysova carded a 211. The University of Arkansas at Little Rock took second (882) with the University of Central Arkansas in third (887). UALR's Kathrine Vynne turned in a 215 for second place with UCA's Valeria Ramirez in third with a 217.

Mississippi College returns to action on Monday, Oct. 28 as it travels to Hattiesburg, Miss., and the Hattiesburg Country Club, for the Judson Invitational.
