ROCKWALL, Texas --- The Mississippi College men's golf team finished 10th at the Dallas Baptist University hosted DBU Classic. The Choctaw finished with a 934 that featured a field of six nationally ranked programs.
 
Alexander Topgaard finished 35th as he posted a pair of 77s to open the tournament and closed out play with a 76 for a two-day score 230. Jeff Lebeau and Linus Doverfors finished four strokes back of Topgaard. Lebeau posted a 78 and a 74 for the first day and closed out play with an 82. Doverfors fired a 75 in the first round, closed out with a 79 and sandwiched an 80 in between.
 
Evan O'Doherty finished 62nd with a 239. He shot a 75 in the second round and bookended his performance an 81 and 83. Cole Fleshler placed 69th with a pair of 84s to open the tournament and finished with an 80.
 
The sixth-ranked University of Central Oklahoma won the team title with an 878. The 48th ranked University of Texas at Tyler finished second with an 896. The 27th ranked Henderson State University finished third with a 900.
 
Mississippi College returns to action on Monday, Feb. 10 as it travels to Houston, Texas, for the Houston Classic hosted by Southern Nazarene University.
