CLINTON, Miss. — Mississippi Christian has a full week of competition ahead, with golf, soccer, volleyball, tennis and softball all taking the field as the fall schedule continues to take shape.

The week begins with both golf programs in action Monday. The women's team travels to McCormick, S.C., for the Savannah Lakes Invitational, while the men's team competes in the Dunning Invitational in West Point, Miss. Both tournaments continue Tuesday.

Women's soccer and men's soccer return home Wednesday for a doubleheader against Christian Brothers. The women's match is set for 1 p.m. at Robert P. Longabaugh Field, followed by the men's match at 3:30 p.m.

Both tennis programs head to Tyler, Texas, Thursday for the Tyler ITA Tournament. The tournament gives the women's and men's teams an opportunity to compete individually and as a group early in the fall season.

Friday brings a busy night on campus, with three events scheduled. Softball opens the evening against Coastal Alabama Community College at 5 p.m., while volleyball hosts Valdosta State at 6 p.m. Softball closes the night with a 7:30 p.m. matchup against East Central Community College.

Volleyball remains at home Saturday for a 2 p.m. matchup against AUM, while softball travels to Brandon, Miss., to face Northwest Florida State College at 1:30 p.m.

The soccer teams close the week on the road at Lee University. The women play at 1 p.m., followed by the men at 3:30 p.m., with both matches taking place in Cleveland, Tenn.

With five fall sports competing throughout the week, Mississippi Christian will have opportunities across campus and on the road to continue building momentum early in the season.
